I am back with review of one of my favorite smartphone brands - OPPO Mobiles- latest edition that is here to change your Selfie-game completely.
I am talking about the recently launched Oppo F3 Plus Selfie Expert which boasts of a dual selfie camera that is nothing like I have ever seen in the latest smartphones.

At their launch event that happened a couple of weeks back, the new brand ambassador of Oppo Mobiles - Deepika Padukone launched the dual selfie camera phone - Oppo F3 Plus. Also present at the event were Sky Li - Global VP & President of Oppo India and Dabboo Ratnani - renowned photographer.

Priced at Rs 30,990 and available in two colors : Gold and Black, the F3 Plus features the brand’s first dual front camera including a first-ever120-degree wide-angle Group Selfie Camera. The F3 Plus First Sale begins from 1st April 2017 across India. It will also be available through OPPO online stores on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.

I took the trendy new smartphone for a spin to find out more about its amazing features and here's what the phone has an offer for all the Selfie-lovers :

Thanks to its wide-angle lens, you no more have to take along a selfie stick for those perfect pictures and it clicks images that are really detailed as compared to those clicked from a normal selfie camera.

The first thing that will make you grab this phone is its attractive velvety Metallic body that is made from premium quality metal alloy which gives it a soft and exquisite feel.
Its 2.5D Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 Protected Display makes it extra scratch-resistant, proving to be a boon to people like me who tend to drop their phones a lot. The 5.0 arc-edge screen is easier as well as a delight to hold, while having light graceful curves that make it really slim and light.

It has a 3GB RAM which makes it faster while using multiple Apps on the phone and perfect for daily usage. Infact, I used it over my Mumbai trip to complete my important tasks like Emails, managing my social media profiles, make Notes and much more in a jiffy.

The Secondary camera is no less, and has 13 MP, f/2.2, phase detection autofocus main camera with single LED flash which helps you get pictures as good as a digicam.
Battery Life :

OPPO F1 is equipped with a 2500mAh sealed in battery which is an improvement from its R7 and R7 Lite variants. I charged my phone once in the morning and was able to use it for an entire day without any further charging for clicking pictures, checking & replying emails, listening to music and browsing the internet for long.

This makes the battery life pretty good and most of the other smartphones I have used, need a charge in 6-8 hours after pretty much the same usage.

Wishing you all a very Happy and prosperous Diwali! I know its just a day away, but I don't know if I would be writing a post that day as I am visiting my hometown - so wishing you all in advance.

Well, if you actively follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you must've noticed me talking about #ChampInCity and carrying a new phone around with me since last 10 days.

I am talking about the new smartphone in the market - LG NEXUS 5X which is a brand new offering from LG having promising features and technology.
I would be writing in detail about its many features, highlights and how it faired across the last 10 days as I used it for almost 12-14 hours every day.


Being promoted as the All-around champ by Google, Nexus 5X is rich in some key features like a powerful camera, Nexus Imprint, USB Type-C charger, Android Marshmallow and more.

As I have used the phone for my blogging and photography purpose majorly, I will be covering my experience on three main aspects important for anyone considering to buy a new smartphone : Battery Life, Camera and Features.


Features :

One of the remarkable features of Nexus 5X is undoubtedly its weight. This striking smartphone weighs only 136g, making it one of the lightest handsets of its category without compromising on the looks or features.


It has a compact design which fits easily into your hand and I was able to use it effectively with just one hand. (If you are a sucker for normal-sized phones which don't cover your entire face - you'll be happy to lay your hands on this beauty.)

The 5.2-inch screen makes it easier to browse Apps and even browse internet with a great speed.

It runs on an Android Marshmallow operating system. Another interesting feature is the Google Nexus Imprint sensor which helps unlock the phone and your apps quickly, with just one tap of the finger. Well, you can now let go of having to remember those tricky passcodes now.

So, another standout feature of this smartphone is the - USB-C port - which is reversible - that means you can use either side for the charging plug and phone charging port. It also makes charging the device almost two times fast as the other phones I have used. Even with charging for 10-15minutes, your battery would be good enough to last for a few hours (Perfect! Isn't it?).

Well the iPhone users would be used to this, but people who are used to having an external memory card might find this as a con that Nexus 5X comes with an internal storage of either 16GB and 32GB.

Camera :

So, if you haven't yet seen the dozen of pictures I clicked with my LG Nexus 5X, I am just going to share with you how it helps me take amazing photographs which are of the same quality as of a digi-cam.
It has a 12.3 MP main camera with dual-LED (dual tone) flash and a front camera of 5MP.

Being a blogger and social media professional, I can't ever miss an opportunity to capture amazing shots - whether I am at work, on-the-go or at some important event.

Whether you are a food fanatic, fashion lover or nature-enthusiast, Nexus 5X proves that it can take any shot effortlessly and beautifully.

Fashion Photography :  I basically survived at the recently organized Asian Designer Week which I was covering officially with my Nexus 5X. At a fashion week, where the models walk so fast that you have less than few seconds to get a perfect click - it helped me get precise and sharp images.

One of the many amazing features is its laser-assisted autofocus which helps you click sharp, detailed pictures with just one click. It is actually helpful when you want brighter shots during dim-lights.



Product/Food Photography : If just like me, you can't live without clicking pictures of every food item you eat and post it on Instagram, Nexus 5X will prove to be a blessing for you.

Front Camera : Ohh thank god for its 5MP front camera, I managed to get great shots even in the evening when the sunset was about to happen. All you selfie-addicts, Nexus 5X helps you click Selfies without any pain or discomfort (People who have a habit to click 100s of Selfies like me will understand this).




Night Photography : I clicked the above picture at around 8.30pm and Nexus 5X still managed to give me great details and a lovely shot.

Well I can go on and on gushing about its amazing camera, but let's go ahead to its Battery Life.

Battery Life:

So coming finally to the Battery life, as I said, I survived the fashion week using Nexus 5X for all my photography and social media updates, and the battery (which I charged just once in the morning) lasted me for a good 10 hours (no kidding, seriously!).
I remember having to carry my charger every time I go for an event, but Nexus 5X's battery left me really impressed.

Verdict :
Priced at Rs. 31,900 for 16GB or Rs. 35,900 for 32GB, LG Nexus 5X is an all-rounder, power-packed smartphone with an amazing Camera and some noteworthy features which make it one of the best smartphones launched this year. If you are looking for a smart buy that not only gives value-for-money but also has a great design, NEXUS 5X is the smartphone for you.

I have been using this smartphone for last 10 days, and frankly I haven't had faced any issues except from getting used to its unique USB Type-C port.

You will surely not be disappointed with Passion 660 if you love clicking Selfies, as it boasts of a 13 MP rear camera, armed with IMX 214 sensor from Sony and a 5 MP BSI front camera with super wide view angle (84 degrees) which allows you to take really amazing selfies.

Battery Life : 
PHICOMM Passion 660 is powered by a 1.65GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with Adreno 405 and 2GB RAM.

If you are a person who loves taking atleast 10-15 pictures everyday, does heavy duty browsing, listens to music and chats a lot on Whatsapp; the battery would last for 5-6 hours which I think is really generous considering that the last phone I used (Apple iPhone 5) used to finish its battery well within 3-4 hours.

Final Verdict :
Having used high-end phones like Apple iPhone5 to mid-range phones like Samsing Galaxy, I found Passion 660 to be delivering really well in terms of Performance and Camera quality.

If you are looking for a sleek and stylish budget smartphone, Passion 660 is really a great buy and wouldn't disappoint you at any cost.

Gone are the days when we picked a phone based purely on its technology and storage specs. Well, I don't say that we look over these factors entirely, but with all the phones coming up with a similar technology, we as users are looking for something more.

And when it comes to the young generation including us Fashionistas, there's nothing better than a Smartphone with amazing Camera. So, finally I got the very stylish and sexy OPPO N3 in my hands which my friends, comes with a one-of-its-kind Swivel camera. I mean who would have thought that you could get high quality images and Selfies from one phone camera itself? Well, I sure didn't!


Undoubtedly, one of the best features of Oppo N3 is its swiveling 16-megapixel camera that ensures that you click selfies that are just as good as the rest of your pictures.

Well, I am not a technical person, so I will be sharing my experience with the phone with a very general prospective - Features, Camera and Battery Life.

Apart from clicking the perfect Selfies, the camera features various Settings/modes in which you can click a Selfie without having to edit it later.
A special function of the camera is its Auto-Panaroma mode which takes a great panaroma shot while you only have to hold the camera still.

Other notable Camera features which make Oppo N3 special are : Expert mode, a GIF maker and plenty of settings to do photographic tasks like taking RAW images, HDR, Ultra-HD, Slow shutter etc.

These options make this phone your Professional Compact Camera Smartphone with plenty of settings and Customizable options to take high quality pictures. With its motorized camera and PI 2.0+ imaging platform, the OPPO N3 is the perfect device for photography enthusiasts.

Battery Life :
Lastly, talking about the battery life, Oppo N3 features a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM which are decent enough for the device to run smoothly. It features a 32 GB storage with an option of adding external memory in the form of a microSD Card.

Once fully charged, the battery lasted almost 7-8 hours while I used it to click a dozen of Selfies, browse Internet for hours long, playing music and watching a few Youtube videos.

The phone comes with a high-amperage adapter which is really useful for charging the phone rapidly during times when you need a quick battery-charge before heading out.


Overall, though slightly expensive, Oppo N3 is a perfect pick for Photography enthusiasts who love clicking Selfies and taking pictures on-the-go without having to carry an extra Professional Camera along.


With so many amazing features loaded in just one smartphone, Oppo N3 is a great investment which will turn out to be your best friend.
