Relaxing and Luxurious Stay Experience at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore | TSD in Singapore
Wednesday 26 October 2016
Hey lovelies!
I am back with another post from my Singapore diaries. Well, I know these have been super late, but I am getting back into my regular blogging mode slowly and would surely try to keep up from now onwards.
Without blabbering any more, let's come to today's post which is regarding my stay experience at the luxurious Crowne Plaza hotel at Changi Airport, Singapore.
My flight to Singapore arrived there in the evening, and therefore, I was looking for a hotel which was not only closer to the hotel but also offers a comfortable stay so that I can relax after a long flight without any worries. And after an online research, I came across this beautiful property located just steps away from the Terminal 3 of Changi Airport, Singapore.
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel has been named world's Best Airport Hotel by Skytrax in 2015 & 2016 and offers a fast and easy access from all the terminals. It is directly connected to the Changi Airport by skytrain as well as the link bridge.
Its premium location makes it one of the best stay options for regular travellers, or people who wish to have a close proximity to the airport without compromising on comfort and class.
After a wake-up call that we had requested before breakfast, I woke up to this beautiful view from our room's windows of the swanky hotel pool and the city roads.
After a refreshing shower in the very spacious bathroom and tastefully designed bathroom, I headed for a hearty breakfast in the Club Room Lounge.
While I couldn't enjoy a dip in the outdoor landscaped pool with stunning palm trees that gave it a resort-like feel, I did pose around to capture the amazing views the pool offered -
The club lounge was definitely one of the best lounges I have come across at any of the properties I have stayed-in before, and it is impeccably designed with plush sofas and trendy seats offering views of the pool and the city.

Personalized Greeting on the LCD |
After a long and tiresome flight, all I wanted was a quick check-in experience, so that I can just hit a cozy bed and relax. I was glad that Crowne Plaza Changi Airport offered exactly that, with a swift check-in process and I was welcomed to a beautiful Deluxe Room with Club Access and Free Wifi, with a personalized welcome message on the LCD screen as well.
Much to my surprise and pleasure, our Deluxe room offered a luxurious bedding and an aromatherapy kit with plenty of soft and plump pillows that ensured a great night's sleep. Thankfull, the rooms were quite soundproof that even though the hotel is located next to the airport, the sound of the planes landing and flying didn't spoil my sleep.

After being showed to my seat and asked for my room number, my order for a cappuccino was quickly taken while I helped myself with a sumptuous breakfast that consisted of international cuisines. Although the spread wasn't as generous as it is at similar category hotels, but the calm ambience of the lounge made up for it.
After the breakfast, I had a quick tour of the property including the new 10-storey extension featuring 243 Business Rooms in addition to the existing 320 rooms in the hotel that are specially designed to suit the needs of business travellers who look for comfort with luxury.
My stay at the hotel was brief as I only stayed for 1 day and checked-out in the afternoon. But even in this brief stay, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport definitely left a wonderful impression on me, making me look forward to my next visit to Singapore so that I can have an extended luxurious stay at this beautiful and widely convenient property.
If you have an evening layover in Singapore, or have an early morning flight or you prefer close proximity to the airport, the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel is definitely a convenient yet luxurious choice which will leave you with an unforgettable experience.

Hey everyone!
I am so glad to finally feel the chill in the air and can't wait to welcome my favorite season - winter - in style. I am sure you all would also be prepping up for the cold weather as well as the festivities that we Indians can relate to in this season.
But as I welcome the new season, one thing that totally puts me off is the sun tanning that my skin has gone through the entire summer. With the prolonged summer since last couple of years, the skin undergoes a lot of damage and darkens due to the harsh sunrays.
If you are also worried about how to reduce the effects of tanning and get your beautiful skin back this season, then I might have a pleasing solution for you all.
Yes, I am talking about the Himalaya Tan Removal Orange peel-off mask that I have been trying since last couple of weeks. In this post, I am going to share about my complete experience with this mask and its effectiveness.
About :
Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Peel-Off Mask is an effective blend of the natural skin lightening extracts of Orange Peel and Honey which help reduce skin tan from the very first use. Orange Peel works to control melanin synthesis with the peeling action helping to remove skin tan and lightening the skin tone. Honey soothes and moisturizes skin.
Price : Rs 130 for 100gm
How to Use :
Apply Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Peel-Off Mask evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow the mask to dry for 10-15 minutes. Gently remove the peel from the side of the face. Use once or twice a week, based on skin type. Do not apply on broken or inflamed skin.
My Experience with the product :
I have been using this mask now since last 3 weeks - twice a week. As it is a natural product with the goodness of orange peel and honey( that are known for improving skin complexion and brightening the skin), there is no harm of using the product on a weekly basis.
However, the brand does recommend a patch time on hand - before using the mask on the face for first time.
The mask comes in a travel-friendly packaging and has a thick texture, therefore, a little extra product(from usual quantity) needs to be applied to completely cover the face and neck. I keep the mask on for about 15 minutes to let it dry completely. Also, make sure you have completely covered your face with the mask, as it would ease the removal of the mask.
After 15 minutes, the mask can be easily peeled off, starting from one side of the face to the other. Instantly after removing the mask, there is a fresh feel to the skin and a beautiful glow that stays for hours.
Over a continuous usage of few weeks, I have noticed my skin becoming brighter and oil-free. It has removed tan to a certain extent, but as with any natural product, only prolonged use will give better results.
Himalaya Orange Peel-off mask definitely serves as a great pick, if you are looking for an affordable, natural skincare product to remove sun tan, soothe and instantly brighten your skin.
With its excellent formulation of natural ingredients, this mask effectively clears skin of all impurities and gives a radiant glow and that's why, it has become a part of my weekly skincare routine this season.
Have you tried this Himalaya face mask yet? If not, you can pick it now from their online store or visit a nearest drug store.

Hey everyone!
I am back with the first outfit post of the month, featuring my look for the day I attended the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week.
The theme of the AIFW SS'17 is India Modern Festive, and for me festive season is all about comfort and class. That's why, to match up to the theme, I dressed up in a chic outfit that isn't very festive in the actual term but gives a glimpse of an Indo-fusion look.
I paired a black crop top from Vero Moda with my favorite black jeggings from ZARA, and highlighted the basic look with a long cape shirt dress from KAZO.
To add a dash of bling to my outfit, I wore a pair of reflectors from Aldo and broke the monotone of the look with a leopard print box bag from Charles & Keith.
I also was able to attend the Fashion Week on Day 4, and would share my quirky outfit that I wore shortly. Meanwhile, don't forget to follow me on my social media handles for daily updates from my blogging journey.

Fashion Weeks are all about being on your toes the whole day as we get to attend shows back-to-back, without getting any major break to relax. Therefore, I chose to wear my new wedges from Charles & Keith, that are really comfortable for long-day wear.
As usual, when it comes to accessorising, minimalism is my mantra - and I just chose a sleek choker neckpiece, a Fossil watch and a stack of bracelets from Aldo to finish my look.

Travel Made Easy with TripXOXO | TSD Travels | TSD in Singapore
Saturday 15 October 2016
Hey everyone!
It's the Fashion Week fever again in town, but this season I am being away as I have to be in Ludhiana with my family. Team TSD would still keep you updated with what's going around the Fashion Week through our social media handles.
Coming back to this post, I am going to share more about my recent trip to Singapore, which many of you would have had a glimpse of, through my Instagram and Snapchat account.
Many friends and fans reached out to know my experience, especially how I went about choosing which places to explore, how to get the best tickets etc. to ensure a smooth and leisure-filled trip.
Well, being a leisure traveller, I always prefer getting my bookings done before-hand, so that I can have a smooth trip without any worries or last-minute issues. That's why when a friend suggested me to book my travel through TripXOXO, I was intrigued to check out more.
TripXOXO is a unique digital platform for travellers to make hassle-free bookings for activities, airport transfers, trips etc. that one may need upon reaching the destination. They currently offer over 15000 experiences in over 70 countries, and are adding more every week.
Upon checking the platform first, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they cover almost all the major tourist attractions with unique packages for various activities. The search results can further be filtered through Categories like Nightlife, Transfers, Activities etc. or through Price range.
If you are still confused about what activities would be of your interest, you can reach out to their team through call or mail, who would be happy to guide you through various interesting activities and choices.
While browsing activities to do in Singapore, I was sure I wanted to check out two of its major attractions - Sentosa Island and Universal Studios for sure - while I wasn't sure about what other activities I might like.
But then I came across activities like Gardens by the Bay, City Tour, Night Safari, Sky Park etc. which seemed to be really interesting and falling in my budget as well.
One of the major features that I liked about TripXOXO is that they have listed activities that can suit every budget. So even if you think an activity might be a little over your budget, you can check out some other option for the same activity that may lack one or two frills, but would still ensure an amazing experience.
After selecting the activities that you would like to explore, you can select the dates on which you would like to explore them ( On the Calendar option - Dates in green would be the ones that are available while dates in red are no longer available), and further you can select the desired starting time and number of people you are booking for.
The payment process is also quite simple, as you can make a payment with a VISA or MasterCard credit card, or with PayPal through a secure Payment Gateway.
Now, I was kind of worried about whether I would receive my vouchers timely, and if these vouchers would be accepted at the desired location or not. But, the TripXOXO team addressed all my queries, and the vouchers were directly mailed to me with the confirmation mail.
Upon reaching Singapore, during the activity day, the Tour guide brought-in all the original tickets (some activities don't accept online vouchers) as I handed them over my confirmation mail and vouchers received by mail.
Therefore, ensure that you don't delete the mails till the time your trip is completed, as you might need to show them to your Tour operator. You can also head to your Bookings section on TripXOXO to see all of your past and upcoming bookings and vouchers.
As I had some goof-up during my Flight bookings, I was happy that I made my remaining travel bookings through TripXOXO which ensured that my entire trip and experience in Singapore went really smooth, hassle-free, and filled with leisure and joy.
Therefore, whether you are an adventure-seeker, leisure traveller or a luxury traveller, you'll surely find a lot of experiences to make your next trip amazing with TripXOXO.
PS : Stay tuned, as I share my detailed Singapore experiences in the coming posts!

Shop, Dine, Relax at Changi Airport, Singapore | TSD Travels | TSD in Singapore
Tuesday 4 October 2016
Hola chicas!
Hope you all are doing well. If you all have followed me on Instagram/Snapchat, you might have seen the numerous pictures I shared last month from my Singapore vacation. Well, finally I am sharing in detail about the places I explored in Singapore and what all I shopped.
My first day in Singapore started with an in-length visit of the renowned Changi Airport, Singapore. Why you ask? Well, it's because the Changi Airport is a beautiful destination in itself that you would love to explore for hours long.
Infact, it's so cool and fun, that you might end up having more fun at the airport as compared to the other places in Singapore.
Be warned though, this is going to be a lengthyyyy post!
The place is like a mall or a theme park in itself with so many attractions for tourists that you'll need atleast 1 day to cover them all.
Whether you are a shopaholic like me, foodie or a traveller who loves to relax during a long layover or have some extra time to pass before your flight - Changi Airport will definitely keep you entertained with its exciting offerings.
While, I didn't have an entire day for exploring the airport, I did end up spending half a day exploring the attractions at the airport and another few hours before my flight for shopping.
The first Butterfly Garden at an airport ever at the Terminal 3 has more than 1,000 tropical butterflies from as many as 40 species. You can also see their breeding and feeding at close range in this breathtaking garden.
Oh, and you can also try holding one of these cuties, like I did in this picture-
Now, if I come towards the Shopping part, well - Changi Airport is undoubtedly a haven for shopaholics. With numerous international brands and Duty Free favourites like Cosmetics & Perfumes by Shilla, Liquor & Tobacco by DFS and Electronics & Computers by Sprint-Cass, you'll be spoilt for choice while shopping at the airport.
Duty Free shopping is definitely the best part, as they offer prices that are cheaper to anywhere else in Singapore.
Whether you want to shop for luxury brands like FURLA and MICHAEL KORS, or high-street brands like Charles & Keith and ZARA, the airport has shops across all the terminals, so that you can avail the best offers with ease.
Changi Airport also has this exclusive shopping promotion running from 4th May to 31st October ie. Be a Changi Millionaire - that will give you a chance to win S$1,000,000 by simply spending a minimum of $50 in a single receipt. This promotion is on till 31st October, so if you are visiting Changi Airport, don't forget to enter this exciting promotion.
Changi Airport also has this very interesting Social Tree, which lets you click your selfies and have it displayed on their social wall that features the major attractions of Singapore.
Now, you might be wondering why I haven't covered any dining options being the foodie that I am. Well, it was simply because we were running out of time, but I did manage to have a meal from Starbucks before boarding my flight.
However, if you are looking to have a hearty meal or want to have a simple cup of coffee, Changi Airport offers a plethora of dining options like Bricco Cafe, Hello Kitty Orchird Garden, KOI Express, Lerk Thai etc. along with the usual restaurants like KFC, Burger King, Krispy Kreme - thus providing options for different budgets and moods.
While you're still at the airport, don't forget to visit the iconic Long Bar by RAFFLES hotel which is located at the Terminal 3 at the Wines and Spirits Duplex store. You should definitely sample The Long Bar's famed cocktail, the Singapore Sling at the bar.
Hope you all are doing well. If you all have followed me on Instagram/Snapchat, you might have seen the numerous pictures I shared last month from my Singapore vacation. Well, finally I am sharing in detail about the places I explored in Singapore and what all I shopped.

Festive Floral display at Terminal 2 |
To start with, the Changi Airport has three Terminals with a fourth one coming soon, that promises to redefine our travel experiences. The three terminals are easily accessible by free a Sky train service which operates from 5.00am to 2.30am, at both the transit and public areas.
I got to explore all the three terminals and covered many major attractions of the airport like this breathtaking Orchid garden at the Terminal 2 which boasts of 700 beautiful orchids of 30 species grouped by their various colours and shapes, representing the 4 elements of nature – Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
Orchid Garden |
Changi Airport is definitely a blessing for nature lovers, with this captivating Sunflower Garden at Terminal 2, which has more than 500 cheerful yellow flowers to brighten up any gloomy day and also a perfect spot for those Instagram-worthy selfies.
Sunflower Garden |
The Sunflower Garden at Changi Airport also offers an amazing view of the runway and aircraft parking bays from its rooftop.
Butterfly Garden |
Oh, and you can also try holding one of these cuties, like I did in this picture-
With so many beautiful attractions and pockets of lush greenery spread around all the terminals, I definitely felt like I was in a different place altogether which does not look or feel like any typical airport.

The Whiskey House |
ZARA |
Cosmetics & Perfumes by Shilla |
I shopped for perfumes and cosmetics from the Shilla which offers an array of international brands as well as Korean brands that every cosmetic lover looks for the first thing while shopping at any airport. I will be sharing my Singapore shopping separately in a post, so do stay tuned for the same.
MUJI to Go |
Pandora |
FURLA |
Whether you want to shop for luxury brands like FURLA and MICHAEL KORS, or high-street brands like Charles & Keith and ZARA, the airport has shops across all the terminals, so that you can avail the best offers with ease.
Be a Changi Millionaire offer |

Long Bar by RAFFLES |
Did you know that Changi was voted the best airport in the world for sleeping?
Well, after all the shopping and dining, visit one of their Free-to-use rest areas located at all the terminals and catch a short nap or unwind before your flight.
At the Terminal 1, is located a lavish swimming pool with a jacuzzi, poolside bar and shower facilities for those who want to relax and enjoy in style while waiting for their next flight.
Free Singapore Tour! Yes Yes.. You read it right. If you're a transit passenger, and have at least 5.5 hours (or at least 6 hours for City Sights Tour) to spare till your connecting flight, you can avail a free 2.5 hours guided tour with 2 short stopovers organized by the Changi Airport every day.
Changi Airport also boasts of many other facilities like Entertainment Deck, Movie theaters, Airline lounges, Wifi Zone and many others that I couldn't fully explore because of the limited time that I had.
But I did enjoy a mini foot massage at this free massage station that is installed at all the terminals before my flight, rejuvenating myself after a tiring day.
My visit to the Changi Airport left me totally impressed and convinced about why it's known as one of the Best Airports in the world. There's nothing that this excellent airport doesn't offer. Whether you are at the Changi for a layover or visiting Singapore, a tour to the Changi Airport and its many attractions is a must, and totally memorable.
