I am back with a new post talking about a very interesting campaign and a topic which we all relate to very closely.

Body Image and Being Yourself is what everyone seems to be talking about everywhere. Whether you see any magazine, social media page or community, people have been trying to spread a positive body image among the masses and I completely support the motion.

Because individuality and self-confidence is what defines each one of us and makes us unique. And no matter what others have an opinion about us, if we start loving ourselves and able to say to the world 'This Is Who I Am', our body shape, color and other such physical parameters can never be a constraint in being true to ourselves and doing what we like the most.

And one brand which has not only supported this motion strongly but also made it a basis of their latest campaign is Bed Head's "This Is Me".
As you all must be aware of, Bed Head is a hair care and styling products brand distributed by TIGI, and is known for its rule breaking attitude and cheekiness along with their fun and creative hair products already have a strong online social presence globally and have begun their efforts in engaging its Indian audience by reaching out to them.

And their latest campaign The Bedhead – ‘This is Me’ stays true to the brand values and focuses on individuality by encouraging people to acknowledge their true self.

The innovative and inspirational campaign features personalities like renowned hair stylist Savio John Pereira; psychedelic painter Sameer Hazari; pilot, surfer and skateboard maker Spandan Banerjee; fashion stylist Chandni Sareen; Imaad Shah and Saba Azad of the swing band duo Madboy/ Mink and poi dancer Sumaiya Sayed. These personalities appear in a series of interesting videos with the purpose of getting people to challenge the status quo.

The videos show the personalities talking about Self Expression and sharing its importance, which is also one of the main aims of the campaign. The main highlight of the campaign is that the personalities are picked from varied fields which are not considered very popular or mainstream and therefore totally justify the aim of the campaign, ie. to break the barriers and doing what you are good at, not what the world wants you to do.

Also, along with the campaign videos, there is an interesting contest being hosted at Bed Head - This Is Me microsite which gives you a chance to win a Trip for Two to Barcelona. All you have to do to enter the contest is- Get your hair styled from a salon to express your individuality and get a selfie clicked with your Stylist. The selfie with the most number of likes increases your chances of winning.

Along with it, the most popular hair stylist on the site (by vote) would win an all-expense paid trip to London for training at the TIGI academy.
