OOTD - Glam Things Up with A Jumpsuit | Curvy Style Guide

Tuesday 31 March 2015

Hey lovelies!
Before March ends, here's another Outfit post dating back to a few days when I went strutting out in town wearing my fab new jumpsuit from MAX Fashion.
Finding a well-fitting jumpsuit when you are on a curvier side is really tough. Most of the jumpsuits out there in brands like ZARA, Mango either are too tight or too baggy, making you look short and fat.

Therefore, when I spotted this trendy jumpsuit at MAX Fashion store in V3S Mall, Delhi; I really wished it would fit me perfectly. And thankfully, MAX didn't disappoint me as it fit me like a glove. The jumpsuit featuring a fitted tribal print upper and palazzo style lower has a long zip at the back, which makes it easier to wear.

I styled the jumpsuit with a neon neckpiece, my favorite sling bag from Accessorize and ZARA heels. Whenever going out shopping or for a lunch date with friends, I prefer to keep my makeup minimal, and that's why I just applied the MAC Impassioned lipstick on my lips and kept rest of the face bare.

Jumpsuits are definitely a curvy woman's best friend. They are the perfect alternative to a maxi dress and give you a slimmer look as they clinch at the waist, adding a definition to your waistline.
Choose a style which clinches at the waist or features an empire waist. You can go for colors like black, red, navy, gray and plum in soft, loose fabrics like georgette, silk, jersey and knits.

You can accessorize your jumpsuit with a broad belt, statement neckpiece and earrings to get a chic appeal. Add a smart blazer or cardigan for a stylish look and if you are short, wear heels to lengthen your legs.

Make sure you choose light prints as large patterns and prints can make you look heavy and fuller than you actually are. Head-to-toe patterns are a strict-no for curvier figures. A figure-hugging silhouette would also be unflattering if you have love handles or heavier torso.

Do you love wearing jumpsuits too? What's your favorite jumpsuit style?
