Featuring Yoshita - Designer in Her Own Fusion Wear
Monday, 28 April 2014
Hey everyone!
In one of my last posts I had covered an exhibit featuring Yoshita Couture, and I followed it up by attending Yoshita's Delhi exhibit which I also covered through my Instagram account.
And while we always see models and celebrities dressed up in designer apparel, it is really rare when a designer models her own clothes. And when Yoshita told me her idea of doing a shoot styled in her own clothes, I was really excited to see the beautiful pictures.
And here I bring the amazing pictures of Yoshita dressed up in an exquisite crystal-studded lehenga which she has paired with a stylish zebra striped blazer and black top. Though what makes this amazing outfit stand out is the exclusive pair of shoes which are also designed by Yoshita herself -

Wednesday, 9 April 2014
Hey everyone!
It's almost mid-week and tomorrow we are going to have the big Election Day in Delhi ie. on 10th April. I hope all my Delhi-based readers who are eligible to vote would be exercising their Right to Vote. I have my vote registered in Punjab and elections there would be held around April-end, and even I am trying my best to take an off from work to be able to visit home as well as vote this year.
Coming back to the post, I will today be introducing an amazing designer brand which is based out of Lucknow city. I came across Yoshita Couture while I was browsing few pages on Facebook and instantly felt attracted to the beautiful silhouettes, unique designs, graceful embroidery and striking fabrics used.
Here's a little more info about the Brand -
"For centuries, in the years gone by, the city of Lucknow remained the fashion capital of Northern India. Patronised by the Nawabs and the elite, our designers and darzis created dresses that would be the envy of modern fashion houses. Yoshita Couture aims to revive the continuum of this cultural legacy. At Yoshita Couture, we aim to blend the characteristic resplendence and grandeur of the ethnic with the exciting bonanza of the contemporary chic. We strive to ensure that the clothes are made to suit the wearer and not the other way round.
We work to see that our ladies are comfortable in what they wear, so that our creations produce a harmonious blend enhancing the ethereal Indian charm."
The beauty with brains behind the brand, Yoshita got in touch with me and invited me to check out her collection at an upcoming exhibit in Delhi. Also, the designer brand recently showcased their Bridal Couture Collection - "Bijou Bijou" at the Hotel Clarks Avadh, Lucknow. Here are few pictures from the preview -

Hey everyone!
Hope all is doing well at your end. I attended a friend's wedding last weekend which went amazing. Also, it was the first wedding I attended after a gap of 3 years, and being a die-hard Punjabi, I just love North-Indian weddings with all the fun and flair.
I will share the pictures of my outfit shortly.
Talking about weddings reminded me of how I missed on writing about Study By Janak, a designer wear store located in the South Ex market, Delhi ( having other branches too ), I was invited to review and check out their latest collection a few weeks ago.
From casual wear to classy ethnic wear, the brand offers everything intact in it with the class and persona of luxury lifestyle.
I was literally in love with all the beautiful embellished ethnic wear garments at the store, be it the metallic toned gowns, neon accent lehengas, sequin sarees or suits.
