The wedding season is in full swing and with so many celebrities getting married lately, new fashion trends are coming up for inspiration for the the to-be brides.

While last year it was all about lehenga sarees and jacket-style lehengas that were ruling the ramps as well as the silver screen, this season – a trend that has  stood out in the Indian wedding fashion is of Ethnic Wedding Gowns.

Wedding gowns have been quite popular in the Western culture, but their Indian-ised version or I should say the ethnic gowns are now being accepted in the Indian culture as well.

So much so that many Indian brides are ditching the heavy-duty lehengas for trendy yet ethnic wedding gowns for their special day. As it’s no more only about looking their best but also being comfortable on the D-day so that they can enjoy all the festivities with ease.

Recently, two popular brides - Sherry Shroff and Kishwer Merchant were seen in strikingly similar wedding gowns by Gaurav Gupta in different colors.
