OOTD : Sheer Love - How to Style a Layered Midi Skirt | Curvy Style Guide
Friday, 3 July 2015
Hola chicas!
Here I am with the first outfit post of July. Time passes by so fast, right? I didn't realize how quickly these 6 months passed and we are into the middle of the year so soon.
Anyway, today's outfit dates back to last weekend when my friends made an impromptu Clubbing plan and I ended up buying new clothes from the mall, as I didn't have much time to get back to my home and pick some nice clothes. Now, you can really see what an impulse Shopper I am, but then I didn't feel really guilty as I already had my eyes on this skirt I picked from Vero Moda.
Well you must be aware of my fetish for midi skirts if you follow me on Instagram and have gone through the recent Outfit posts. I find midi skirts really classy and versatile, and they are a perfect length for curvy girls as help give a toned look (petite girls should not forget wearing heels).
This cream-colored midi skirt from Vero Moda also sits below my knees, and has 2 layers - a sheer longer layer on the top which also has a beautiful sheen. To make it stand out, I styled it with a printed top from ONLY in a blue color and has a cute zipper on the front.
Keeping the accessories minimal, I opted for a sleek neckpiece which I recently purchased from Connaught Place and a clutch purse from Romwe.com. You'll agree that stealing the show were these sequinned heels from Dune London which added a glamorous touch to the complete attire, making it perfect for partying.
Have a look at the pictures :
The perfect mantra to style a midi skirt is first picking a length that works best for your height. A midi skirt should ideally have a hemline that hits somewhere below the knee and above the ankle,
If you are petite, wearing a pair of heels always help elongating your legs.
Pick a silhouette according to your body shape - Petite girls can opt for a fitted skirt with a back or side slit while taller girls can go for a flared skirt just like mine for a chic vibe.
Do you love wearing midi skirts too? Let me know your views in the Comments below!

Store Review - Dune London, Select Citywalk, Delhi | Shopping Experience
Monday, 2 February 2015
Hi everyone!
Hope you had a great Sunday. I had a rather busy weekend as I attended Scholl India's Blogger event on Saturday, and visited Three Graces - Vasant Vihar for my second Laser Hair removal sitting.
Hope you had a great Sunday. I had a rather busy weekend as I attended Scholl India's Blogger event on Saturday, and visited Three Graces - Vasant Vihar for my second Laser Hair removal sitting.
But the most exciting part was vising Dune London outlet at Select Citywalk, Delhi and coming back home with a pair of glamorous pumps. And here I am with my review and shopping experience at the Dune London outlet.
Dune London is the leading retailer of affordable luxury footwear and accessories. Founded in 1992 as a small concession in a ladies fashion store, and opening its first store on London’s Kings Road in 1993, Dune has since rapidly expanded to over 250 outlets across the world.
And one of their main stores in Delhi-NCR is located at Select Citywalk and is a go-to destination for both men & women. The first thing that attracts you towards the store is the two pairs of heels strategically placed on the signboard, and when you look inside the store - you would see similar pairs placed on the ceiling (refer to the pic below) incorporating an Inverted Catwalk. Brilliant work, isn't it?

They also have a section dedicated to Men's designs.
