Dubai Diaries : Day 2 in Dubai | OOTD : Styling A Buttoned Midi Skirt
Thursday, 15 October 2015
Hey lovelies!
Here's the post covering my second day spent in Dubai during which I covered the major attractions of the city and also went for a Cruise later in the evening.
My day started with a hearty breakfast and then we left for the City Tour at around 9am which started from the Dubai Creek in an AC coach.

Next we visited the Gold Souk of Dubai, located in Deira, which is the traditional Gold market and you will find hundreds of shops selling gold ornaments. I also saw some popular Indian names there like Malabar, Damas and more.
On the way, we stopped by the Jumeirah Mosque for some photography and I also enjoyed an ice cream at the Haagen Dazs outlet just opposite the mosque.
We also stopped by the Jumeirah open beach which is also close to the famous Burj al Arab hotel, and I must say is a beautiful beach with clean waters and white sands.
Well we also stopped by many other places like Atlantis, The Palm and it was a tiring day altogether.
As it was sunny and we had to travel for more than 4 hours, I decided to dress up casually in a light and breezy outfit featuring a buttoned midi skirt from Forever 21 and polka dots shirt from H&M.
Have a look at the outfit I wore for the day :

Dubai Diaries - My Dubai Shopping Haul - Part 2 | TSD Travels
Wednesday, 23 September 2015
Hey lovelies!
So here's the 2nd part of my Dubai Shopping Haul. As I didn't get much time to visit the local markets, I did 90% of my shopping from the famous Dubai Mall, and trust me - I still think I would need another trip to shop to my heart's content from this amazing mall.
Without blabbering much, here are the pictures of rest of my purchases :
I remember picking a Fuschia lipstick from a Flormar kiosk in Select CITYWALK 2 year back, but I never saw the brand again in India. So, when I came across their huge store in Dubai Mall, I couldn't help picking not 1, but 3 lipsticks for my mother and friend as I really love the texture of their lipsticks. These were priced at around 30 Dirham each.
Okay I know you all must be thinking, why I even visited ZARA when it is available here in Delhi? But I was really curious to see what collection they have in Delhi, and come on, no one can miss shopping from ZARA, no matter which part of the world they are in.
So, I ended up picking these 2 crop tops for 25 Dirhams each and I really loved the collection in the Dubai Mall store as the designs were far far better from the ones available in stores here.
You all must be aware that H&M is having its Grand opening in Delhi on 2nd October, but still I couldn't resist visiting the H&M store there. But as it was my last stop in the Dubai Mall, I ended up picking just one top which has a really sexy fit and was actually a steal as I picked it for around 20 Dirham only.
I bought this chic animal print clutch purse from a brand known as SUITE BLANCO for 40 Dirham only. I had never heard of this brand, but they had pretty floral dresses and trendy bags which were priced quite reasonably.
This dress is one of the most pretty maxi dresses I have. The color, the pleats and the frills at the neckline are simply beautiful, and it is from a brand Pull & Bear which is from the Inditex group that also has Zara. It was priced at 100 Dirham after discount,
Ohh and finally, the big Reveal - my first ever PRADA purchase - their iconic Baroque sunglasses.
Featuring a sophisticated design in a round shape with the lavish baroque accents, I purchased these trendy glasses for around 1000 Dirham.
I am so in love with these sunglasses and just can't wait to style them up in my upcoming shoots.
So what's your favorite pick from my Dubai Shopping haul? Let me know in the Comments below!

Well, I didn't buy this dress from Dubai but actually from the MANGO store at Delhi Duty Free.
It is a suit style dress with a wrap-around style and comes along with a belt. It has a very formal yet sexy vibes, and I will be styling it on the blog soon. (Purchased it for Rs 2290).

Dubai Diaries | OOTD : Day 1 in Dubai | How to Style a Faux Leather Skirt
Sunday, 13 September 2015
Hey lovely readers!
I am back with the second post from my Dubai Diaries and one of the Outfits that I wore during my vacation.
So, during my vacation, I had stayed at the Fortune Grand Hotel in Deira - which is a decent 4star hotel located near major city attractions like City Center Deira, Dubai Mall and much more.
On the 1st day of my trip, I checked-in at the hotel around 2pm Dubai time and decided to go out for a visit to the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa in the evening after some rest.
Around 6pm, we left for Dubai Mall by metro as the hotel staff told us that the metro station was nearby - but well - we did have to walk around 1.5 kms looking for the same. The best part of reaching Dubai Mall by metro is that the metro station (Dubai Mall) is connected with the mall with a fully air-conditioned, elevated foot-bridge.
Post a brief shopping spree at the mall, we headed to the Burj Khalifa which is also connected to the mall and we visited the observation desk at the 124th floor of the world's tallest building - which is also known as At The Top. It was indeed an amazing experience, as the view from the top was breathtaking as we could see the entire city lit up in bright lights.
As I had to spend time shopping and roaming around the mall, I decided to dress up casual for the day and wore a Faux Leather skirt by ZARA on the 1st day. I paired with a blue crop top from ONLY which features sequins on the sleeves, giving it a dressy look.
To keep my luggage light, I had survived the vacation only on 2 pairs of shoes and a TOMMY HILFIGER bag which I also carried to the mall. As usual, I kept the accessories minimal with just an ALDO watch adorning my wrist and a sleek neckpiece from MADAME.
Have a look at the pictures of my outfit :
Have you been to Burj Khalifa before? Isn't the view just amazing from the top?

Hey lovely people!
A few weeks back I had visited Dubai for a vacation and I had shared many updates on my Instagram page. Finally, I am back into my regular routine and decided to share all about my trip to Dubai with my Shopping Spree.
As there were a lot of images to publish, I decided to post this in 2 parts. And here's the first part of my Dubai Shopping Haul :

As there were a lot of images to publish, I decided to post this in 2 parts. And here's the first part of my Dubai Shopping Haul :
RIVER ISLAND |
My first stop in Dubai Mall was the RIVER ISLAND store. I have always checked the collections available at ASOS and most recently Jabong and I really love the edgy stuff they have to offer.
So, I ended up purchasing a hot pink Skater Dress which was priced at around 150 Dirham after discount. They have really an amazing collection of dresses and skirts which I fell in love with, but with my wardrobe already overflowing with so many apparels, I thought of just purchasing this Skater dress as it fit me beautifully.
I also purchased a pair of beige Wedges and a color-block Handbag from RIVER ISLAND which were both priced around 150 Dirham each.
Girls, RIVER ISLAND is one brand which can give really tough competition to ZARA and Forever21 in terms of designs and pricing. I wish they open a store in India soon!

Victoria's Secret |
I explored Victoria's Secret on the last day of my Dubai vacation and I am so glad I did as it was like visiting a mall in itself.
I purchased 2 multi-way, Strapless bras ( 2 for 250 dirham) which had a snug and comfort fit. I also purchased 2 lip glosses and Lip Colors from their Beauty section (priced at 55 Dirham each), and also purchased their Body Ultimate Moisture Shea kit which serves as
Chocolates and Candies from Dubai Duty Free |
As a ritual of anyone visiting a foreign country and bringing home Chocolates, I also purchased Tiffany candies, Hershey's chocolates and mini-Marshmallow candies for my friends and cousins as I knew they will ask for these - the first thing when I come back home.
I will be posting rest of the things I purchased in the second part which will also feature my first PRADA purchase. Exciting, right? Stay tuned for the next post then!
Let me know if you wish to know anything more about my Dubai trip and shopping in the Comments below.
