Review : My Staycation at Golden Tulip Chandigarh | Luxury Amidst Nature

Happy Friendship Day.. While every day is exciting when you are with your loved ones, still days like these give you more reasons to celebrate and party harder, don't you agree?
While talking of special days, another special day is approaching soon ie. Independence Day that too on a Monday, and you know what that means? Extended Weekend!
And if you haven't yet made plans for your long weekend getaway, read on as I have been wanting to introduce you all to this perfect place, since my staycation there few weeks back.
Located in the middle of nature and at the foothills of the Himalayas, just few hours ride away from Delhi is Golden Tulip Chandigarh - Ambient Resort and Spa , a four star luxury resort.
A perfect choice for a business or leisure traveler who wants to stay away from the chaos of city life, in the lap of nature, Golden Tulip Chandigarh boasts of 44 rooms under deluxe and suite categories, a rooftop bar and restaurant, a Pan Asian lounge and bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a spa.
Over a weekend, I visited the resort with my bestie and our staycation started with a comfortable 30 minutes drive from the railway station to the resort, in one of their chauffer-driven cars.
As we reached almost near midnight, we were welcomed with coffee and snacks in our luxury suite itself, but we truly explored the resort and the location the next morning.
We woke up to this beautiful view of the valley from our suite's windows. The city had also welcomed us with a pleasant weather and light rains.
Our suite had two adjoining rooms, one - a spacious room with an attached bathroom, large windows offering an amazing view of the valley, modern furnishings and having amenities like in-room tea and coffee maker, electronic safe, minibar, telephone and more.
The main room had a comfortable bed and another attached bathroom featuring a luxury bathtub, jacuzzi and a spacious wardrobe. A 32 Inches LCD TV and hi-speed wi-fi made sure we relaxed in our suite and made the most of our staycation.
Ambient Spa
During our stay, we mostly spent our time at Patio Terrasse - their rooftop bar and restaurant which has an indoor space as well as an outdoor area offering a breathtaking view of the hills and is a culinary treat for locals and visitors alike.
With the pleasant weather, our dining experience became even better. The breakfast buffet is a hearty spread with Live counters as well that offer international and local favorites to suit a variety of tastes.
Their all day dining a-la-carte menu comprises of a variety of authentic Indian and Oriental cuisines. If I had to pick my favorites, they were the Fish and Chips (which my bestie truly enjoyed), Thai curry and rice, and variety of mocktails like the Fruit Punch.
After an amazing stay of two days, it was time to get back to Delhi, but we really didn't feel like coming back, as we hadn't enjoyed such hospitality, a picturesque and comfortable stay anywhere else in the recent times.
So, if you are looking at going away from the hustle and bustle of the city to a beautiful location for a rejuvenating retreat, Golden Tulip Chandigarh is the place to visit. With luxurious rooms offering a stunning view of Morni Hills, multi-cuisine restaurants and a rejuvenating spa, it promises an unforgettable experience to the visiting guests.

Ambient Spa
After a hearty breakfast at the Patio Terrasse, we headed to the Ambient spa for a rejuvenating spa experience. I experienced the traditional Swedish massage which mainly includes - rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.
A 45-minute spa by one of their trained spa therapists not only helped relax my entire body but also helped ease tension and stress.

Review : LeEco Le 2 Superphone | A Great-Value-in-Budget Smartphone | Le 2 Review

Hey lovelies!
I am back with a smartphone review after a long time. And in this post I am going to review a smartphone brand which has taken the Indian market by storm within just few months of its entry.
The brand I am writing about is LeTV - an interactive platform for entertainment databases that provides movies, animations, news and lifestyle information etc.
The latest addition to LeEco's breakthrough superphones is LeEco Le 2 which is packed with first class features in a budget.
I tested the smartphone over a period of 3 weeks and I am here with my thoughts and experience with LeEco Le 2.
I would be covering the Review over majorly three aspects : Design, Camera and Battery Life. Let's look at how the superphone fares over these aspects -
Design & Features :
Le 2 flaunts a 5.5 inch 1080 full HD display with a real-time touch screen and Blue filter technology which showcases each detail very clearly, giving a crisp and sharp look to all the apps or pictures you are using on the superphone.
I received the superphone in a Rose Gold shade which looks more exquisite with the all-metal uni-body design and a slim & sleek body.
Le 2 also happens to be lighter than its predecessor with width of just 0.3 mm and faintly rounded edges. It comes with internal storage of 32GB with 3 GB RAM.

Camera :
LeEco Le 2 is packed with a 16-MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 8-MP front camera. The front camera is surprisingly sharp and helps get very bright and clear shots. The Beauty mode of the camera helps get an even-toned look by smoothing the complexion.

One of the interesting parts of the superphone is that you can use the Fingerprint scanner to click selfies as well.

The LeEco Le 2 features a 3,000mAh battery which makes it strong enough to last an average day (clicking selfies, using Whatsapp and checking mails) without having to charge it.
Le 2 also has a Quick charging feature which sometimes makes the device heat up while charging so I prefer charging it using the normal mode which makes the battery last for 7-8 hours.

Overall, I found the LeEco Le 2, priced at Rs 11,999, a great-value-for-money device packed with amazing features, attractive design and a decent camera in budget.
You also get first year membership of LeEco free which gives you an access to a wide range of audio and video content through apps like LeVidi and LIVE.
