Sorry for the long break, but so far, you all must have got to know through my social media updates that I am officially married now. And I am finally writing my first blog post from my new house in Mumbai.
When my wedding date had got fixed this January, I was totally freaking out about how to do the complete wedding shopping as well as planning for all the functions within 2 months. And while I did have my bestie who got married a couple of years back and my family to my rescue - who patiently handled my tantrums - I also had prepared this wedding checklist that kept me sane and plan things properly for my dream wedding.
And to make things easier for all other brides-to-be, I am sharing the tips that will help you plan your wedding and bridal shopping really smoothly :

When my wedding date had got fixed this January, I was totally freaking out about how to do the complete wedding shopping as well as planning for all the functions within 2 months. And while I did have my bestie who got married a couple of years back and my family to my rescue - who patiently handled my tantrums - I also had prepared this wedding checklist that kept me sane and plan things properly for my dream wedding.
And to make things easier for all other brides-to-be, I am sharing the tips that will help you plan your wedding and bridal shopping really smoothly :
- Prepare a Calendar/Timeline - First things first, as soon as your wedding date is fixed, take the calendar and prepare the timeline for all the important events that have to follow (as Indian weddings are really elaborate, you should also ideally note down all the smaller ceremonies like Satsang, Haldi etc.)
- Prepare the Shopping List - Now comes the most important part - your trousseau and also other important shopping items like bridesmaid gifts, jewellery, footwear etc. Make a list of all the outfits + accessories that you would need for the main functions plus for the smaller functions so that you don't have to make the last minute trips to the market to buy the missing things.
Like I had noted down the number of pairs of shoes I would need for the functions plus gifts like Mehendi party favours, bridesmaid gifts etc. Ideally, you should also prioritise your shopping and mark it in the wedding calendar with dedicated days for bigger shopping like your wedding lehenga, cocktail outfit, bridal shoes etc. so that you can tick off the things purchased as per the planner and you won't have to freak later about having missed something.
- Work out your Wedding Budget - While we all wish for a dream wedding, there's always a certain budget that we have when it comes to plan a wedding. So, once you have discussed a budget with your family, you can prepare a list and allot the budget for each service and item that you would need at your wedding. Also keep a budget for miscellaneous expenses that may incur at any time during the wedding timeline.
- Prepare a Vendor List - Unless you are hiring a wedding planner to take care of all the functions, decorations etc- you would need to carefully make a list of all the things that you want and need to prepare a vendor list like the Venue, Decorator, Catering, Wedding invitations, Makeup Artist, Mehendi Artist, Choreographer etc. If you have any certain themes in mind for your wedding functions, make a note of that too along with the dress codes that you might want to keep for any specific function and discuss with the particular vendor.
- Prepare a Pinterest Board - or an album in your phone with all the inspiration ideas that you have for your wedding style, lehenga, makeup, mehendi, venue decoration, Photo Booth etc. This will come really handy when you are meeting various vendors and want to share with them what exactly you are looking for your wedding.
- Finalise a Venue - With just 2 months to the wedding and that too during the most auspicious dates, it became really difficult for my family to find a venue of our liking as most of the venues were booked way in advance. Eventually, we had to finalise a venue that was in Gurgaon (while most guests were from Delhi) due to non-availability of similar hotels in Delhi.
- Book your Wedding Lehenga - While I would do a separate post on how I finalised my wedding lehenga and my experience around it, please note this as the most crucial step of your wedding shopping as soon as you know you are getting married.

Most designers take a minimum of 45 to 60 days to make an intricately designed lehenga, therefore, you should dedicate the first few days of your wedding calendar exclusively for your lehenga shopping.
- Refer to Online Reviews/Recommendations - While I have been in Delhi for last 7 years, I had actually never done wedding shopping for a friend or relative here before. Therefore, I mostly had to rely on reviews about Makeup Artists, Mehendi artists, Photographers etc. online on popular wedding planning websites and then shortlisted a few vendors I wanted to meet. Thankfully, all the vendors that I found online ( I booked my MUA, mehendi artist and my wedding photographer based on online recommendation - I will be sharing their details in the upcoming posts) met my expectations and gave results as I desired.
- Prepare your Guest List - Make a guest list and if you are expecting guests from other cities, make sure you send them a Save-The-Date invitation so that they can plan their travel accordingly and RSVP about their attendance. Accordingly, you would be able to note down the expected number of guests and plan their accommodation for the wedding as well as Wedding Favours for the guests.
Well, these are the major things that had helped me plan my wedding smoothly with the help of my friends and family. There are many other wedding checklists available online that you can refer to and prepare one for yourself, depending upon the time that you have after your wedding date is fixed.

It's been over a month that I have shared an outfit post with you all. January has actually been quite a busy month for me, and even though I had planned a few posts - I couldn't publish them in time.
Well, there have been a few personal developments that I would share soon. For now, I have one of my favorite outfits of the season that includes two fabulous trends - bralettes and military green.
A lot of girls think that they can't wear a bralette if they are curvy, but, when you know how to style it right - a bralette can be a curvy woman's best friend especially since they are so comfortable and edgy. That's why when I picked this twist front army green jumper from Forever 21, I knew it will go perfectly with my H&M bralette which I usually also pair with my sheer tops.
I completed the look with my suede look Zara jeggings and knee-length Marks & Spencer boots. I paired the outfit with a statement-making choker from Zara and an animal print bag from Aldo which has turned out to be wardrobe staple lately.

An unplanned Perfect trip to Pacific Mall | Shopping at Pacific Mall, Delhi

Hey Lovelies!
Today, I am penning down not just for you to read but to run fast and grab some amazing offers at Pacific Mall. Recently I visited Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden to meet one of my friends and likewise she was again late, but as you guys know, waiting at Shopping Mall is not that difficult for a girl especially when she is a shopaholic like me.
I was roaming around and clicking some pictures at the Atrium of the mall which had a huge replica of “Statue of Liberty” standing straight and it was something unseen in Delhi. I was already amazed by the beauty and grandness of the Statue and suddenly I encountered a board of Sale which made me excited and forget every other thing.
And what else a Shopaholic can demand for? I immediately steeped inside my constant Brand Zara which gives me the most desirable fit and also offers vast range of collection. From there I shopped a formal check Blazer and amazing trousers and a pair of shoe to uplift my attire.
And while I reached at the billing counter, a Salesman told me about the ongoing offer in the mall, he said if one could manage to buy worth of Rs 15,000 from anywhere in the Mall he/she can get a chance to win couple trip to Europe and the offer could be availed till December 31st. Then I decided to check out every new store opened in the Mall and there are some 18 new stores in the Mall…Oh wow!!
By the time my friend also arrived and both of us visited every store in the Mall and actually managed to shop more than Rs 15,000. Though discounts & offers were running everywhere but still the collections at the stores were not giving a feel of end of season sale. So, we actually decided not to shop for ourselves only but to shop for family and friends as Christmas and New Year is right at the corner and nevertheless it is the perfect time to surprise and pamper your loved ones.
We got a beautiful piece of chandelier from Home Décor and I bought some toys for my nephew from Hamleys to gift on Christmas. And a beautiful Saree for my mom from Meena Bazar is foremost the best present I could get for her.
Coming back to my shopping list, I shopped from many stores but some of my shortlisted Favorite ones are:-
The range features ‘Feel Good Jeans’, and as well as denim and leggings in an array of colors and prints.
Go and check out the best ones now and add something nice to your wardrobe!!

- Forever New – Collection in Forever New can make you go crazy and when the store has some amazing winter collection, it is undoubtedly a cherry on the cake. I will suggest if your Christmas and New Year’s shopping is still not done, you should not skip shopping from the brand.

The holiday season is upon us finally, and 2017 is coming to an end. Well, I can't believe how quickly this year has passed yet how slow this month has been. This year has been rather a difficult one for me - as I saw a lot of ups and downs - personally and professionally.
But, the best part of living through the last month of each year is to look back at how things fared for you - where you got wrong, and what you can do to make the new year the best one ever. And that's why I can't just wait for this year to end, so that I can gear up for new beginnings, bigger goals and better things to happen.
Well, I wanted to pour down these thoughts, but coming back to this post - it was shot sometime in November - in the fashion hub of Delhi, Shahpur Jat. I have had this white shimmer skirt in my wardrobe since sometime, but never got a chance to wear it.
Most of us tend to keep shimmers and metallics for evenings or events, but I decided to wear it finally for a daytime look. I paired this Zara skirt with a lacy top and bralette from Forever 21 to compliment the silhouette of the skirt.
A white statement bag from GUESS and wedges from Charles & Keith finished this dressy look, while I accessorized it with a pair of sleek earrings, a beige Fossil watch and a floral Accessorize bracelet.
Wearing metallics in the day can be tricky, but if done right, it can make you stand out of the crowd in a good way. Make sure you balance your shimmer or sequin garment with neutrals and solids.
If you want to go metallic from head-to-toe, pick a delicately sequined maxi dress and pair it with a pair of booties. If sequined outfit sounds too much to try in day, go for a more comfortable look by pairing your monochrome outfit with a pair of sequined ballet flats or a shimmer scarf that can add instant oomph to your look.

Winter is finally here but I ain't saying goodbye to off-shoulder tops just yet. Well, off-the-shoulder tops have been my preferred style of dressy tops since long, but this season - I have been loving them all the more as a lot of brands have introduced this style with interesting sleeves to slay and minimal vibes.
That's why, when I saw this pretty wine-colored top from Ridress online, I couldn't stop myself from buying it. From it's schiffli embroidery to the flared sleeves - this top makes dressing up for parties and dinner outings a lot easier.

For an evening out with my girls, I styled it with a black pencil skirt - my wardrobe staple from Zara and paired the outfit with my low-key Zara sling-back heels. To complete the dressy look, I wore a sleek watch from Daniel Wellington and picked my Michael Kors shoulder bag which is an absolute beauty with its trendy chain handles and structured look.
- Pick a style you feel the most comfortable in, as you won't want to be caught pulling your top up every time you step out. If off-shoulder isn't your thing, go for a boat neck top or a top with thin straps that will give a cool yet comfortable look.
- You can pair your off-shoulder top with boyfriend jeans or jeggings as well for a day look; and add a pair of sneakers for a chic vibe.
- Make sure you have the right lingerie to wear underneath your off-shoulder top, or it can really spoil the entire look. Go for a strapless bra with no seams for a smooth look.
- For winters, you can also pick an off-shoulder sweater or a loose pullover that you can wear off one-shoulder for a trendy look.

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a great time with my friends and colleagues joining in. Even though I am in my late 20s, I still get excited like a child on my birthday and a lot of people find it really funny. But I believe in cherishing every moment, especially when it's your birthday, so I don't let such bitterness affect me in any way.
Talking about bitterness, finally we have relief from the scorching sun and winters has set its foot in North India. I anyway enjoy winters more than summer - simply for the fact that I can finally wear my favorite trench coats and knee-high boots. However, there is still time before winter kicks in with full effect.
For now, I am enjoying wearing one of the hottest trends of the season - off-shoulder. And this peach top from Zara is even more special as it has a trendy bow to jazz up the one-shoulder style. I paired this textured top with my old but still chic ripped jeans from StalkBuyLove.
These blue slip-ons are a recent buy from Zara, to which I was immediately drawn towards, due to the bow details. Plus, they really make a statement even with a boring outfit. I finished the look with a tan quilted bag from Michael Kors - which is a new addition to my wardrobe as well.
