Amazon India Fashion Week
Hey everyone!
I am back with the first outfit post of the month, featuring my look for the day I attended the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week.
The theme of the AIFW SS'17 is India Modern Festive, and for me festive season is all about comfort and class. That's why, to match up to the theme, I dressed up in a chic outfit that isn't very festive in the actual term but gives a glimpse of an Indo-fusion look.
I paired a black crop top from Vero Moda with my favorite black jeggings from ZARA, and highlighted the basic look with a long cape shirt dress from KAZO.
To add a dash of bling to my outfit, I wore a pair of reflectors from Aldo and broke the monotone of the look with a leopard print box bag from Charles & Keith.
I also was able to attend the Fashion Week on Day 4, and would share my quirky outfit that I wore shortly. Meanwhile, don't forget to follow me on my social media handles for daily updates from my blogging journey.

Fashion Weeks are all about being on your toes the whole day as we get to attend shows back-to-back, without getting any major break to relax. Therefore, I chose to wear my new wedges from Charles & Keith, that are really comfortable for long-day wear.
As usual, when it comes to accessorising, minimalism is my mantra - and I just chose a sleek choker neckpiece, a Fossil watch and a stack of bracelets from Aldo to finish my look.

Amazon India Fashion Week AW16 - Day 1 - Highlights
Wednesday, 30 March 2016
Hey lovelies!
I know it's a bit late, but well I had to post my favorites and the highlights from the recently held Amazon India Fashion Week in the capital.
The 5-day long Fashion event had a new venue this time - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road - with the main theme of India Modern.
The opening show of the Autumn Winter'2016 season of Amazon India Fashion Week was presented by the talented designer Varun Bahl who marked his return to ready-to-wear category after five years.
His collection was a tropical delight with easy-to-style, wearable pieces featuring embroidery in the forms of owls, jellyfish, horses and more. The feminine silhouettes and soft colors added helped bring out the intricate details of the outfits.
My favorite show of the day was by my favorite designers : Shantanu & Nikhil who again proved why they are the perfectionists with their delicate drapes and silhouttes.
The floor-sweeping gowns and skirts teamed up with structured jackets were the highlights of their show.
The designer duo Hemant and Nandita showcased a collection called “The Dark Enchantress” which focused on an earthy color palette that included colors like browns, deep reds and midnight blues.
The collection featured easy-to-style outerwear like embroidered jackets, trench coats, fur collars, and more.
Designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh showcased her ethnic collection which highlighted the use of silver, blending it with colors like red, blue, beige and more in the form of deilcate motifs, mukaish work and embroidery.
Designer Rina Dhaka's collection reflected Autumn-winter in true style with knitwear silhouettes that are perfect for the season. The collection highlighted features like off-shoulder styles, boat necks and ruffles which added to the woven details of the dresses.
The collection Synthesis by Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan featured an amalgamation of various elements like laser cut leathers, intrcate hand details, fabric manipulation and more in fabrics like wool. velvet, organza and satin.
Gaurav Gupta showcased his unique collection based on the concept of Zero Waste ie. draping the entire width of fabric in the given garment.
The collection featured gowns, jackets and frockcoats in fabrics like neoprene, silks and sparkling jersey.
Which one of these was your favorite from the Day 1 of AIFW16?

Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 - Show Schedule and Venue - AIFW SS16
Tuesday, 6 October 2015
Hey lovelies!
It's Fashion Week time again!
The 26th edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2016 in association with Maybelline New York is slated to be held at the NSIC Grounds, from Oct 7-11, 2015.
Being Asia’s largest fashion and trade platform, it will offer thought-provoking ideas through conversational pieces of fashion in an attempt to handcraft it for a global audience by creating timeless portraits. This in turn, will make the `Made in India’ label a visual documentation of what lies at the core of our aesthetics.
This season’s edition has an impressive list of 115 established style gurus as well as greenhorns, from all across the country. There will be 30 runway shows, which will engineer a unique language, dripping with indigenous crafts, modern luxury and counter-cultural influences. Mirroring what young India aspires for, as the new ‘cool’ meets engaging authenticity, this edition will have over 100 designer stalls at the exhibit area.
The Amazon India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2016 in association with Maybelline New York captures stunning moments in time as it threads together professionals from diverse fields: choreographers, makeup artists to stylists, giving business opportunities through evocative showcasing.

OOTD : Fashion Week Diaries - What I Wore to Amazon India Fashion Week (2)
Wednesday, 22 April 2015
Hey lovely people!
I am back with another Outfit Post featuring one of the funky outfits I wore during Amazon India Fashion Week. On Day 3 of the AIFW I decided to wear a beautiful layered midi skirt and graphic tee which I picked recently from PROMOD.
Midi skirts are all the rage this season and is a welcome change from mini skirts as they look graceful yet trendy. They are also being featured on the ramp and celebs are sporting these frequently, making midi length skirt a must-have in your closet.
And adding to the grace of this skirt is its net layer and shimmer base inner skirt, making it perfect to glam up your look. I teamed up this trendy skirt from Promod with a graphic print casual T-shirt from Promod to add a cool look to the outfit. I completed the look with a pair of MAX shoes and ALDO wrist watch.
But the star of my outfit surely was my MARA Fringe clutch by VITASTA in a classy chevron pattern. VITASTA is a designer brand launched back in 2011 and is a brain child of Aditi Vitasta Dhar, an NID graduate.
Scroll through the post to know more about VITASTA and have a look at the complete outfit details:

Hey lovely readers!
Hope you are enjoying the latest posts on the blog. With last month being very busy due to Fashion Week and some personal commitments, I had many blog posts planned and saved in Drafts which I am publishing now back to back.
And today I am sharing one of the Outfits I wore to the Amazon India Fashion Week. Well Fashion Week is all about running crazily from one auditorium to the next to attend the shows on time or checking out the Designer stalls and hanging out with friends. Therefore, I try to keep my style during Fashion Week casual yet trendy.
Sticking to a laidback yet chic look, I decided to wear a summery Crop Top and Skirt set from Koovs.com on the Day 2 of AIFW. I bought this light blue lace crop top outfit last month and totally fell in love with the skirt which has a peek-a-boo effect. The crop top also features a sheer back which gives a sexy vibe without looking vulgar or over-the-top. This the second crop top-skirt outfit I now have, apart from the various printed crop tops I have in my wardrobe.
I teamed up the outfit with a layered Forever 21 neckpiece, strappy sandals by ZARA and a multi-layer wrist watch from ALDO. To break the monotony of the blue color, I paired the outfit with a statement clutch from Accessorize.
Have a look at the pictures below :
